What Is It: 

Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) is a type of treatment that uses small needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These small contact points encourage the body to naturally create a wound healing response and renew the skin cells to repair itself.  Your skin reacts to any injury by initiating the healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. As your skin repairs, the production of collagen and elastin triggered gives an almost immediate plumping effect. Microneedling, is different than a superficial Microdermabrasion treatment and provides much more benefit, because it reaches below the skin surface. According to a 2008 study, skin treated with four Microneedling sessions spaced one month apart, produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment!

What To Expect During Treatment:

We’re thrilled to introduce the latest and game-changing skin needling device to RSB Aesthetics, the Dermapen 4th Generation, which is a revolutionising micro-needling device that tightens, lifts and rejuvenates skin with minimal downtime.  Your skin reacts to any injury by initiating the healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. You can expect minimal discomfort during the session but may, however, depending on each individual’s skin tolerance, experience temporary bruising/redness once the procedure is over. Sensitivity to the area being treated could last up to 10 days.*

We recommend clients to: 

• Avoid direct sunlight exposure for 7 days.
• Avoid sunbeds for 7 days.
• Cleanse twice daily and add serum.
• Use an effective SPF for skin protection following any treatment to help improve your recovery and maximise the results.
• Avoid exercise for a period of 24 hours following treatment

Results can be seen from the very FIRST treatment.* While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won't be visible until four to six weeks after the procedure
