What Is It: 

By using a controlled product the top layers of the skin can be removed, improving the appearance of skin that is dull, tired and lacking in good quality as well as being affected by age spots, sun damage, acne scarring and wrinkles.  At Rosa B Aesthetics we use our innovative BioRePeelC13 treatment as well as industry favourites The Perfect Peel ® and  The Perfect Peel ® Superblend.

If you are wanting an intense peel experience, The Perfect Peel® is a fantastic option – featuring the star ingredient, Phenol – it is a blend of active exfoliants, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C, that look to target medium-depths of the skin and is administered by our Advanced Practitioners. Peeling begins on day 3 and is typically completed around days 7-10, with full results visible at day 28.

If you’re looking for a peel that is more potent than most in-clinic chemical peels, but not as intensive as The Perfect Peel® in visible downtime, The Perfect Peel® Superblend is for you. The Perfect Peel® Superblend is the UK’s first superficial to medium depth, medical-grade chemical peel to blend Glutathione with 8 acids and resorcinol to produce maximum results with minimal risks. It is also slightly less in price and can be performed by both our Advanced Practitioners and Skin Specialists. Mild peeling and flaking begins day 3-4, will complete around day 7, with full results at day 28. The Perfect Peel® Superblend brings a hybrid chemical peel to reach both medium and superficial depths in a single treatment, blowing individual peeling agents out of the water!

The Perfect Plus Plus Booster is an excellent addition for patients with oily, thick or resilient skin. It is highly effective for stubborn hyperpigmentation, acne scars, actinic keratosis and sun damage on the face and body.

The Perfect Plus Plus Booster is only to be used when mixed with The Perfect Peel® and is not to be used as a spot treatment on its own.

The Perfect Clear Booster

The Perfect Clear booster is an excellent addition for patients with moderate to severe acne or acne scars on the face, chest, back or any body area. The Perfect Clear booster is only to be used when mixed with The Perfect Peel.

What To Expect During Treatment:

Chemical peels vary from very light to medium depth:

• Superficial – this peel uses Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) or Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)at 10 – 20%. The solution is applied to the face and left on for a few minutes, removing the top layer of the skin (known as the epidermis). The skin may feel tight for a couple of hours afterwards and repeated treatments can ensure long term results.
• Medium peels – uses Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) at 35%. After a few minutes of the solution being applied to the face, the middle and top layers of skin will be removed. It will take a few hours for any sensitivity to subside and the face may be red for a few days, with several weeks before the skin returns to normal. Treatment may need repeating in 6 – 12 months.

The entire process usually takes under an hour to complete, and your Skin Care Professional will typically stay in the room to ensure there are no adverse reactions as it dries. 

Depending on the peel, most people feel a warm sensation and tingling! The amount of tingling will vary based on the type of chemical peel you are receiving and will differ case to case (e.g. you might be more sensitive than another person getting the same peel).  

Post procedure, some light redness can be expected but in general you can expect minimal discomfort during the session but may, however, depending on each individual’s skin tolerance, experience temporary redness once the procedure is over. Sensitivity to the area being treated could last up to 10 days.*

The chemical peel itself counts as Day 1 and takes around 15 minutes to complete. The rest of your appointment time will be spent discussing your Home Kit and aftercare

POST-PEEL SERUM

A potent blend of Retinol, Salicylic Acid and Vitamin C, to be applied the night of the treatment, this second step completed the chemical peel application.

HEALING, NOURISHING MOISTURISER

To be applied on Day 5 to heal, nourish and condition new skin. containing skin-loving ingredients including Squalene, Vitamin E, Glutathione, Calendula, Arnica, Aloe Barbadensis and Carrot Oil. This is a half-size product of one of our Glutaceuticals® products.

Avoid the use of electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, laser or any other professional treatment. If you are using any products which mean that Epionce chemical peels are not suitable, please inform us prior to booking. Also, if you are undergoing any other treatment, please tell us.

Stop using products such as Retin-A, Renova, Differin (Adapalene 0.1%) or Tazorac. Also, do not use any products which may contain Retinol, AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) or BHA’s (beta hydroxy acids or benzyl peroxide).

We recommend clients to: 

• Avoid direct sunlight exposure for 7 days.
• Avoid sunbeds for 7 days.
• Cleanse twice daily and add serum.
• Use an effective SPF for skin protection following any treatment to help improve your recovery and maximise the results.
•  Avoid exercise for a period of 24 hours following treatment 

Results can be seen from the very FIRST treatment.....the difference in your skin’s texture and tone will be seen immediately.*  It is normal for the skin to shed the dead skin cells, producing some slight flaking for a few days. 

We recommend at least a month between appointments, however for those with sensitive skin we recommend to limit treatments to once a season.
