Thread Veins:

Spider veins, thread veins are commonly found on the face and legs but they can appear anywhere on the body.  Thread veins are tiny blood vessels which run close to the surface of the skin.  They look like thin red or occasionally purple or blue lines. They appear when blood vessels become enlarged which cause the veins to appear broken. The medical term for them is telangiectasia.

If you have thread veins in the legs and want to improve the way they look, laser therapy is a leading thread vein removal treatment available at Rosa B Aesthetics that may provide the answer. Facial thread veins are not dangerous, but they can affect your confidence if left untreated. In rare cases, thread veins can be a sign of an underlying medical condition and you will gain more effective results when treated early, so it is always best to seek the advice of a qualified practitioner.

Whether you suffer from varicose veins, facial veins, spider veins or leg thread veins, we provide the highest standard of clinical care and the latest technology. Our expert thread vein specialists will ensure you achieve the best vein treatment with little to no downtime.

Some people are more likely to develop thread veins than others. While there’s no exact cause, there’s a variety of factors that can cause thread veins, these include:

  • Wind and extremes of temperature
  • Steroid Creams
  • Changes in hormonal balance.
  • Genetic reasons
  • Sun Exposure
  • Injuries
  • Pregnancy
  • Age
  • Lack of Movement

Blood Spots/ Skin Tags/ Milia/ Age Spots/ Warts:

Small lesions such as a moles, skin tags, cysts and warts are common and generally harmless, however for cosmetic reasons you may want them removed. Rosa B Aesthetics are able to remove all of these type of lesions on the face or body!

Moles are a type of common skin growth. They are frequently small, dark-brown spots and are caused by pigmented cell clusters. Generally, they appear during childhood and adolescence. Most people have between 10 and 40 moles, some of which may change over time or disappear. The majority of moles are harmless and only very rarely becoming cancerous. Monitoring moles and other pigmented patches, particularly malignant melanoma, is an important proactive step in detecting skin cancer. A mole develops when cells within the skin (melanocytes) grow together in clusters or clumps. Melanocytes are present throughout the skin - they produce the natural pigment melanin that colours the skin.

Skin tags are painless, non-cancerous growths on the skin’s surface. A tiny, thin stem called a peduncle connects the tag to the skin. Skin tags are made up of blood vessels and collagen surrounded by an outside layer of skin. It is unclear what causes skin tags exactly. Since they usually appear in the folds of the skin, friction can play a part. Skin tags are common in both men and women, particularly over 50 years of age. They can appear anywhere in your body, although they are usually found where the skin folds, for example armpits, groin, neck, under the breasts.

A cyst is a fluid filled lump that can occur anywhere or on the body. Terms used to describe cysts include lumps include bumps, nodules. Cysts can be caused by injury or overuse but most commonly the cause is unknown. Ganglion cysts are common and can occur around wrist or hands, they are harmless, and don't cause pain or problems unless they grow and put pressure on other structures.

Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) on the skin.

Fact -  Warts have plagued humans for thousands of years — they have been discovered on a 3,000-year-old mummy and were even mentioned by Shakespeare!

What To Expect During Treatment:

Thread Veins: Laser treatment.

Laser treatment is a safe, effective way to banish thread veins. The light from the laser is directed at the veins causing them to heat up very quickly. This heat will cause the vein to break down and collapse in on itself which may present as some bruising on the skin’s surface. The damaged vein gradually dissolves and is removed through the body’s natural immune system, leaving the skin smooth and clear.

It can be a little uncomfortable but not painful. If at any time you want to have a break from the treatment your practitioner will pause. We can also apply a numbing cream before the treatment on the area.

(Avoid alcohol or aspirin 24 hours before your treatment, due to increased risk of bruising).

Duration Of Each Treatment:

30-40 minutes, excluding consultation time.

No.Of Treatments Required:

Thread Veins:  For optimal results, most clients will require 1-3 sessions* (approximately 1 session per month).

*(In some circumstances, more sessions may be needed. This is a semi-permanent treatment due to the fact that the treatment may in some cases shrink, but not obliterate the thread veins. If this were to happen, the thread vein may reappear in time).

Visible Results:

Comfortable and safe with results seen instantly.*

No downtime, resume activities immediately post treatment.  You may experience some bruising or swelling after treatment. We would recommend that you do not get sun exposure to the area for the next 48 hours. Long term results.*
